Fiesta's Electronic Tour and Accommodation Ticketing
* Sell Tours and collect the commission
Why Sell Tours or Accommodation to other sites?
We refer to it as added services but for the guest it might be enhancing their stay. Experience has shown that the more services you can provide to a guest the more likely they are to recommend you to their friends and colleagues. Most tour operators are willing to pay you a commission to do their sales for them as it cuts their promotion and marketing costs.
The same applies to other sites. The motoring clubs all enjoy at least 10% commission on all sales they make into your property so why not collect the same when you do the same.
Fiesta lets you sell accommodation in two ways.
(1) By using our built in off site accommodation manager module where you take the booking, contact the other site by phone for confirmation from their end, complete the sale, collect a 10% deposit for your effort, print a voucher for the guest to present on arrival and email the other site, confirmation the booking.
(2) Use our built in link to our on-line reservation engine, select the site and make the booking. The site will be advised by Resonline that a booking has been received.
Selling tours and offsite accommodation can both add significantly to your bottom line without any additional expense as you have no stock to purchase. If you are in a high volume tourist area then you might even consider setting up a Tour Manager just to handle these sales.
Tour Manager lets you setup as many tour items as you wish. The recommendation is to take a commission (that you keep) print out a Tour Ticket with all the details for the guest to keep. You can them email or fax each day to the tour operator the details of guest for their tour, how many on the ticket, where they are to be picked up and at what time. The ticket also details the balance payable to the tour operator. If you wish to take the full amount from the guest, then you have to rebate the sale less your commission at the end of each month. This requires a lot more effort and you need to record the sales and the receipts and your commission payments on your BAS. Taking the deposit only, requires the payment of gst on the deposit.
Tour Manager lets you print out a list of the days sales and receipts.
The software is built into Fiesta so why not use it?
